All seems well this morning, although the roads are very icy. There doesn’t appear to be any more snow and we are open as usual! Please take care making your way to nursery and do not enter the car park as you will not be able to get back out again!

Adverse Weather

During times of adverse weather we will do everything we can to ensure the nursery remains open. However, for the safety of the children, parents and staff we had to make the decision to close the nursery yesterday.

Today the weather seems to have settled and we are pleased to say that we are open as usual!

There are mixed reports via the media for tomorrow’s forcast and we will therefore update the website throughout the day should the weather deteriorate.

Children In Need 2009

Thanks to the hard work of the team at Jumbles and the tremendous support from our parents we have managed to rise a fantastic £688.21 for Children In Need.

The event started on Friday 13th November with our ‘Big Quiz Night’, where parents and friends joined us for a light hearted quiz and pie and pea supper.

The following week involved the children having a ‘Mad Hair Day’, Wear your clothes inside out day’, Sponsored Silence for Nicky and Keeley (Aaahh, it was bliss!) and ‘Bake a Cake Day’. On the big night the girls at Jumbes dressed up as Disney Character’s and travelled to the Blue Planet Aquarium, where the BBC filmed live broadcasts for the evenings show.

Thanks to everyone for supporting us and joining in all the fun activities.

We are very sad to announce that Felicity from our Toddler Room has decide to leave Jumbles to take up a role of Domiciliary Care Worker and eventually persue her dream career of nursing. We all wish Felicity well for the future and would also like to welcome two new members of staff to our Toddler Room, Vicky and Tarnya.

We have a new staff member in our Baby Room, Emma, who has replaced Katie. Katie has left Jumbles to persue a career in Business Admin. We all with her well for the future.

Big Announcement

Michelle is pleased to announce that she is expecting her first baby in February 2010! She will be taking maternity leave in the new year and will return later in the year with her new arrival. Congratulations!

New Staff Member

We are pleased to welcome Hannah to the team at Jumbles. Hannah first came to Jumbles on work experience in 2007 from Turton High School. She has now joined us as an apprentice and will commence her level 2 Early Years Child Care and Development qualification in September.

Race For Life 2009

The girls at Jumbles teamed up as the ‘Pink Ladies’ and had a fantastic day successfully completeing the ‘Race for life’ on 5th July. Thank you to everyone who sponsored us, we have raised a grand total of £464.71 for this fantastic charity.

Yoo Uk Ltd – Nursery Photographer

The photographer from Yoo Uk Ltd visited nursery on Friday 5th June and took some great photos of the children. The proofs are now available and need to be back at nursery with orders by 3rd July 2009.
